Booth tickets will be sold the day of the carnival for 25¢ each. The High Country Handiworkers will be hosting five booths including Toilet Paper Toss, Lollipop Pull, Lockbox, Iron Man Challenge, and Rubberband Guns. We will also be donating three baskets (Colorado Sports, Camping, Dog Care) for the live auction held at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. All proceeds benefit 4-H programs in Larimer County. |

Monday, February 26 Cake Decorating Workshop There is a workshop in the McKee Building from 6–8 p.m. CLOVERBUDS are welcome to attend. Please contact Stephanie Morrison if you’re planning to attend and need a supply list to know what to bring. You can email Stephanie or call or text her at 970-443-9891. Foods Project Meeting Trista Claude, our club’s Foods leader, is hosting a meeting in the Berthoud Room at the McKee Building. It’s the first room to your left when entering from the main front doors. It starts at 6:30. All club members enrolled in a foods project are encouraged to attend. The agenda includes project expectations and e-records. Tuesday, February 27 Archery Practice The first indoor archery practice, for shooters who have been in the discipline for 3 or more years. Practice starts at 6:00 p.m. Please come a little early to help set up the range. Thursday, March 1 Enrollment Deadline The last day to enroll and be able to exhibit at the Larimer County Fair. Friday, March 2 Transport Booths to Carnival We have two volunteers with pickups to take items to the McKee Building. We need a trailer to move the Ironman Stand, which is 17' long. Please let Cindy know if you can help with this. We could also use another vehicle to help take prizes out. We will meet at Construction Supply House between 5:00–5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3 4-H Carnival Please go to the Signups page and find a time that works for you to help out. There are still some slots available. CLOVERBUDS are welcome to come and help as well. 4-H Carnival Ticket Sales If you are a parent and have some time on Saturday to help the Foundation with the ticket sales/exchange, please let Cindy know. The High Country Handiworkers 4-H Club met on Monday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the McKee Building at the Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. Enrollment for new members is due on March 1 and returning members should submit project changes before the same date. Members should mark their calendars for important upcoming dates like orientations, workshops, and practices. Our club sold 4-H Carnival tickets at King Soopers on January 27 and 28. Many members sold their required tickets, plus many more. The club will have four booths at the 4-H Carnival on Saturday, March 3 from 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. We are going to do Iron Man, Toilet Paper Toss, Lollipop Pull, and Rubberband Guns. The club will also put together two baskets for the auction: hunting/camping theme and arts/crafts theme. Carnival tickets and items for the baskets should be dropped off with Cindy at Construction Supply House by Friday, February 23. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. |
