Join Us for the 4-H Carnival
Purchase $1 tickets from 4-H members now to be entered in the drawing for cash prizes. Each ticket can also be redeemed for two booth tickets the day of the carnival.
Booth tickets will be sold the day of the carnival for 25¢ each.
The High Country Handiworkers will be hosting five booths including Toilet Paper Toss, Lollipop Pull, Lockbox, Iron Man Challenge, and Rubberband Guns. We will also be donating three baskets (Colorado Sports, Camping, Dog Care) for the live auction held at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
All proceeds benefit 4-H programs in Larimer County.
The presentation by the Cupcake Gypsies scheduled for tomorrow night (Wednesday, June 28) is cancelled. We will try to schedule on a new date. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Fair Entry Forms are due on July 17.
There is a food/cake decorating field trip this Wednesday, June 28 at the Ranch. All club members are invited to attend. Please click here for details and RSVP to Trista Claude by texting 303-709-6943 or click here to email.
There is a sheep showmanship clinic at the Ranch on Wednesday, June 28 in the evening.
Most of the club is sitting well with their shooting sports practices—only a few more to go! If you are not planning on attending the county shoot, please let Cindy know so she can pass it on to the discipline superintendents and they won’t be wondering.
Congratulations to Bryce on his shotgun county shoot! We can’t wait to hear how everyone else did. Best of luck as your county shoot continues.
Curtis is off to Michigan this week as part of the 4-H Exchange Club. We hope some of our members ages 13 years and older will consider participating this fall when sign ups occur again.
Lacey participated in June Conference as part of the Junior Leader Club. We’ll hear about it at the next club meeting in July. Consider joining the Junior Leader Club as well.
We had a great turnout on Saturday from those seeking assistance with their shooting sports record books!
It was a very special Cloverbuds meeting on Monday, June 19. The kids were visited by the Loveland Fire Department, got a tour of the truck, and had a ball!
The Cloverbud/Leathercraft meeting this Monday, June 19 will start at 6 p.m. The Cloverbuds have a very special program planned.
The Premium Book (rules for fair) and the Fair Entry Form are now available.
Fair entries are due Monday, July 17! Do NOT be late or there is a late fee. These can be mailed or faxed. If you show livestock, you can mail or take it in person because you will owe livestock fees. Livestock youth: don’t forget the Code of Ethics Form. They go to the Fair Office at the McKee Building, NOT the Extension Office in Fort Collins. This office opens on June 12 and is in the front hallway across from the exhibit hall.
You can send your order for tickets to 4-H Night at the Rodeo, as well as other nights, and the wristband for the carnival by clicking on the Signups page and filling out the form for Cindy.
There is a SignUpGenius to volunteer to help with interview judging and setting up general projects after judging. Go to the Signups page for this as well.
On Thursdays, there is 3D archery practice/shoot at Lon Hagler. There is a fee of $2 to shoot and there will be 10–12 foam animal targets set up at various distances. This is a great opportunity to practice 3D, and it's a lot of fun! This is not an official county practice and does NOT count toward your four required practices. Brent and Curtis will be there, so find them if you have any questions or want some help.
As the weather gets warmer, it’s important to remember the 4-H dress code and be sure to meet those guidelines at 4-H events.
Anita and I are available for questions about fair, interview judging, or projects. Please ask!
Only 46 more days until interview judging!
Congratulations to all of our 4-H members who graduated from high school this year!
