The 4-H carnival tickets are in! It is requested that each 4-H member sell 25 tickets. Tickets are only $1.00 each and this is the main fundraiser for the Larimer County 4-H Foundation, and our club receives a small percentage as well. Tickets will be ready for pickup at the club meeting on January 13. If you want more than 25 tickets to start, please contact Cindy before the meeting.
To help facilitate ticket sales, our club will be selling tickets at King Soopers (Thompson Valley Towne Center) from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8 and Sunday, February 9. We'd like to have 6 volunteers for each time slot of 1 1/2 hours. To sign up for a time slot, visit the Signups page.
Carnival Baskets for Auction
Our club will be creating two baskets for the auction. The basket themes as decided at the December meeting are Hunting/Camping and Dog Lovers. Please bring an item to be included in one or both of the baskets.
We will be selecting the games for our club booths at the January meeting.
Spread the Word
Share the date of the carnival with your friends and family and ask them to attend. It's a fun day and supports local 4-H! Grab a copy of the carnival poster by clicking here.
The Larimer County 4-H Exchange Club is taking orders for wreaths. Money raised will help fund their upcoming exchange with a county in Minnesota that is currently being planned.
***Orders must be received by the end of day this Thursday, November 21.***
All wreaths are fresh Douglas Fir decorated with ribbon and pine cone.
Wreaths will be delivered in early December. You can pay now or upon delivery with cash or check. Contact Cindy Buckardt via phone at 970-481-7993 or email at email@example.com.
The King Soopers Community Rewards program just got easier! In the past, you had to load and shop with the gift card designated for Larimer County 4-H Foundation for funds to be donated. Now, you only have to associate your Sooper Card with the nonprofit and 5% of purchases will benefit 4-H!
Thank you to the kids who suffered through the cold on Saturday at King Soopers: Marley, Nate, Emmalin, Liam, and Josh. This group managed to sell their 25 designated tickets, plus they sold a total of 375 tickets and collected $98 in cash donations!
The Sunday group of Justin, Wyatt, Alexis, Ava, Elsie, and Walter sold 300 tickets and collected $82 in donations before they ran out of tickets to sell!
The total for the weekend was 675 tickets and $180 in cash donations.
Cindy picked up 500 more tickets, so let her know if you’ve sold yours and want more.
One note about turning in tickets: Please remember to put them in numerical order, smallest number on top. If you bring them to the February club meeting, put them in an envelope with your name on it or wrap a piece of paper around them with your name to identify your tickets and funds. There will be many members returning tickets at once.
Thank you for working hard to support 4-H!
Reminder: Sign up to sell carnival tickets at King Soopers on Eagle Drive this Saturday and Sunday. We have two-hour shifts from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Visit the Signups page and use the SignUpGenius to grab a time slot.
We only have 6 members signed up right now! There is no one signed up for Sunday. This is a great opportunity to sell your 25 tickets!
There is also a $100 prize for the member who sells the most in the county! Last year we had the top seller and the 5th top seller.
If you are a returning member and have not received your carnival, tickets please pick them up from Cindy.
The High Country Handiworkers 4-H club was chartered in 1980 and is located in Larimer County, Colorado.
