Join Us for the 4-H Carnival
Purchase $1 tickets from 4-H members now to be entered in the drawing for cash prizes. Each ticket can also be redeemed for two booth tickets the day of the carnival.
Booth tickets will be sold the day of the carnival for 25¢ each.
The High Country Handiworkers will be hosting five booths including Toilet Paper Toss, Lollipop Pull, Lockbox, Iron Man Challenge, and Rubberband Guns. We will also be donating three baskets (Colorado Sports, Camping, Dog Care) for the live auction held at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
All proceeds benefit 4-H programs in Larimer County.
TOMORROW IS LAST DAY FOR ENROLLMENT FOR PREVIOUS 4-H MEMBERS! (Tuesday, January 17)
Cloverbuds and leather craft will be meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Construction Supply House shop. We will kick the heater on, but dress warmly. Cloverbuds will be learning the 4-H pledge and we have a great workshop themed around the Stock Show.
There is a cake decorating orientation tonight from 6–8 p.m. in the McKee Building.
The .22 rifle and pistol, and air rifle and pistol orientations are Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. in the McKee building. These are mandatory meetings. On Sunday, January 22 at 1:00 p.m. there will be a hands-on workshop for these disciplines as well. It’s geared mostly for first and second year shooters, but all are welcome.
Sheila Durnill has offered to chair the carnival baskets. She is looking for a couple of club members to assist on the committee, and another adult as well. Email Cindy if you are interested and she will pass your contact information on to Sheila.
There is a new-family orientation on Thursday evening at the McKee Building from 6:00–8:00 p.m. for those new to 4-H. While one parent is in the shooting sports orientation, another parent can go to the orientation. Just a suggestion.
The minutes from the January meeting are now posted on the website. Please read through them before the February meeting.
The High Country Handiworkers 4-H club was chartered in 1980 and is located in Larimer County, Colorado.
