Thank you to our club volunteers who helped with the 2018 Paul and Jean Hoshiko Memorial 4-H Golf Tournament in Windsor on June 1. The Colorado 4-H Foundation event raised nearly $20,000 for 4-H youth programs across the state. Click here to read about the event.
You can also view a gallery of photos taken by 4-H member Gabriel Dupon from Larimer County. And you can read more about Gabriel in this Member Spotlight.
Here’s an aerial video from the golf tournament. You can watch the “launcher” that was discussed at the June meeting in action at 0:58.
Members participating in .22 Rifle: County shoot is scheduled for July 14. Schedules can sometimes get busy and we will be offering an early county shoot opportunity during our regular practice on June 24. Eligibility requirements will be the same—members must have completed 4 practices and have their hunter safety card uploaded to 4Honline.com prior to the shoot.
This opportunity is primarily designed for those members who are shooting 4 rifle classes plus muzzleloader, or those who have other 4-H project events on July 14, so that they may be able to complete all their 4-H work at this busy time of the year. Since we do not begin until 12:30 on Sundays, we are only planning on 2 relays that day.
If you are needing to participate in the June 24 early shoot or have any questions about anything please contact Sam Webb by June 20 so that targets and leaders may plan for the day.
Our meeting for June is tonight!
This is the NEXT to last meeting for this 4-H year. If you have not attended a meeting and you are new to 4-H, I really hope you can make it tonight!
The High Country Handiworkers 4-H club was chartered in 1980 and is located in Larimer County, Colorado.
