High Country Handiworkers meeting for the month of December was called to order at 7:05pm by President Walker Cameron on December 12, 2016. The meeting was held in the exhibit hall of the McKee building. The pledges were led by Grace Claude and Devon McNear for leadership credit. Minutes from the November meeting were read by the secretary and approved as read. Roll call was answered with “What are you doing over Christmas break?” There were 38 members in attendance at the time of roll call, many parents there for support, and seven guests. The Treasurer’s Report shows $1, 307.35 in the club savings account and $2,298.04 in the checking account.
The Sunshine Report
The club had four members celebrating birthdays in December. A card was received from Shooting Sports Leader Freddie Kiefer.
The cloverbuds made turkey masks and played Thanksgiving Bingo at their November meeting. Cloverbud meetings are the third Monday of the month.
-The club hosted a silent auction to help the Coats family after Bob Coats was involved in a car accident.
-Shooting sports waivers and off-premise livestock forms are due soon.
-Leader recognition and certificates of completion for club members were distributed to those that missed the November meeting.
-The Club website is now available. Photos and stories can be submitted, club leaders emails are available, and the minutes will be accessible from the site. Guidelines for submittals were handed out.
-Club t-shirts will be decided at the January meeting. Please review on the website.
-Community service from November 6, turning pens for Veteran’s Day.
-Enrollment is due in early January.
Club Elections were held. Those underlined were the voted officials.
-President Walker Cameron introduced the elections and opened the floor for nominations for President: Walker Cameron and Brooke Carlson.

-President Walker Cameron opened the floor for nominations for Sunshine Reporter: Delaney Newby, Haley McNear, Cael Claude, Devon McNear and Lorelai Durnil.
-President Walker Cameron opened the floor for nominations for Reporter: Devon McNea, Lorelai Durnil, Walter Buckardt, Josh Ryan and Kaleigh Roberts.
-President Walker Cameron opened the floor for nominations for Historian: Grace Claude and Delaney Newby.
-Justin gave a demonstration on his Shotgun project that he sent to the State Fair in August.
Adjournment of the meeting was at 8:02pm. The motion was made by Hannah Godfrey and seconded by Lorelai Durnil with unanimous approval. The next meeting will be January 9, 2017 in the meeting rooms of the McKee building.
After the meeting, club members participated in wrapping presents for the Foster and Adoptive Families of Larimer County Christmas Party that will be held this weekend . There were holiday cookies to share and the silent auction followed.
