The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by President Brooke Carlson.
The pledges were led by Opal Kroger and Bella Kendrot.
Roll call was taken by the secretary Mackenzie Porter, and members were asked to answer with their favorite Thanksgiving dish.
The October minutes were not approved because they had not been completed and posted on the club website yet.
The treasurer’s report was given by Nate Rogers: savings account = $2,184.29 and checking account = $3,696.97.
The Cloverbuds, with the help of junior leader Lacey Adams, gave a report on their previous meeting, which was about Halloween safety. They made spiders and pumpkins, and shared Oreo eyeball cookies.
Leader report: Livestock Premise and Shooting Sports Waivers were available and need to be filled out and returned to Cindy, along with enrollment money if ready.
Turning Pens – On November 12th, club members turned pens for military personnel at Woodcraft with the Heart and Hands club.
Enrollment – Current member enrollment is due January 16th. New members enrollment deadline is March 1st. The quicker enrollment is complete, the better for the club.
Shooting Sports Practices –
.22 Rifle and Muzzleloading practices: Sunday afternoons in Masonville.
Western Heritage practices: To be announced.
.22 Pistol practices: To be announced.
Archery practices: At the Ranch on Tuesday evenings in McKee Building.
Air Rifle and Air Pistol practices: Every other Thursday in McKee Building.
Outdoor Skills: Opposite Thursdays from Air Rifle.
Shotgun practices: On Tuesdays in Nunn.
Officer Elections – At the next club meeting (Monday, December 11th.)
Wrapping Presents Community Service – Next community service project will be at the next meeting. The club members will participate in wrapping gifts for children of Foster and Adoptive Families of Larimer County for their annual Christmas Party. Club families were asked to bring two dozen cookies for dessert that evening to share.
4-H Carnival – The 4-H carnival will be on March 3, 2018, which is earlier this year so should have tickets in January for selling.
Achievements – Certificates of completion were given to club members who participated with the club in 2017 and completed at least one of their enrolled projects. Also, special recognition was given to members that had received outstanding awards. Sharel Cameron prepared a booklet listing accomplishments of all members for families to keep.
Nate Rogers presented a demonstration about the silhouette targets and their distances for .22 pistol.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 p.m., 2nd and APPROVED.
